Christine Spagnoli was an integral member of the trial team which obtained a verdict for a male worker who suffered severe burn injuries caused by a defective O-ring. Largest single plaintiff's personal injury verdict in California. Jury also awarded a record $48 million in non-economic compensatory damages.

Pascua/White v. Industrial Asphalt Verdict: $14.4 million

Asphalt truck improperly serviced and inspected by driver and asphalt company caused chain collision. Crash resulted in brain damage to nephrology surgeon and deaths of her husband and 81-year-old mother. They were passengers in the vehicle struck by a load of hot asphalt on freeway. Action brought by surviving doctor and stepchildren.

Rapan v. Dorel Juvenile Group, Cosco and Daimler Chrysler Confidential Settlement

Settlement obtained on behalf of a child who suffered a devastating spinal cord injury. Two-and-a-half-year-old Isaiah Rapan was injured in a crash while secured in a Cosco Grand Explorer shield booster seat in the rear seat of his parent's Jeep Cherokee. GB&W attorneys established that the booster seat and the Jeep car seat were poorly designed and caused Isaiah's injuries.

Macchia v. Synergy Cargo Logistics Settlement: $3 million

Wrongful death of two unrestrained, elderly parents of driver, who was also unrestrained and seriously injured. The defendant trucking company's negligence resulted in a 3,000 lb. converter gear detaching on the 605 freeway. The plaintiffs' vehicle struck the object.

A products liability action involving tire tread separation that caused a passenger van to roll over. The crash resulted in the death of two Philippine immigrants.

A woman was burned when the gas dryer placed on the ground in her garage caused the ignition of flammable vapors.

Parents brought a products liability action when their young daughter died of asphyxiation after becoming entangled in a mini blind cord.

Anderson v. General Motors Verdict: $4.9 billion

Christine Spagnoli was an integral member of the trial team in the action against General Motors for defective fuel system that led to burn injuries to four children and two adults. This is amongst the largest products liability verdicts in American judicial history.
