Standing with AJ Perez: A Call for Accountability and Change

At Greene Broillet & Wheeler, LLP, we are honored to represent AJ Perez, a former University of San Diego (USD) quarterback, who has bravely come forward with allegations of hazing within the university's football program.

The details of the hazing rituals that AJ experienced are deeply disturbing and unacceptable. On August 8th, AJ was subjected to a degrading and humiliating initiation ritual by upperclassmen on the football team. This incident was not an isolated event, but rather part of a longstanding culture of hazing within the USD football program, as alleged in the lawsuit filed by AJ.

Our partner, Scott Carr, is representing AJ in his lawsuit against USD. Scott's commitment to justice and his extensive experience in handling complex legal cases make him the ideal advocate for AJ as he seeks accountability from those responsible for the hazing incidents. Scott's son attended USD, which makes this case particularly personal for him.

At GBW, we believe in the power of the legal system to bring about positive change. We are committed to supporting AJ in his fight for justice and to holding USD accountable for the actions of its football program. We hope that this case will serve as a catalyst for change, not only at USD but also at universities and institutions across the country.

We stand with AJ Perez and all victims of hazing and bullying. It is time for a change, and we are committed to being part of the solution. We call on USD and other institutions to take immediate action to address and prevent hazing and to create a safe and supportive environment for all students.
